Eurocomunicare
Eurocomunicare – an NGO based in Bucharest, Romania – focuses on media literacy interventions, exploring its capacity to exert critical thinking as to the productions, representations, languages (visuals, texts, sounds), audiences and communities characteristic of mainstream and social media should target the following areas: critical thinking and awareness of cognitive biases, data literacy, awareness and understanding of how personal data is used, online security & online privacy literacy, awareness of the significance of online disinformation and how to spot it, and fact-checking abilities. Eurocomunicare is or has been involved in several projects and activities aimed at contributing to the professionalisation of public communication, while equipping the public with the tools needed to fight disinformation. Eurocomunicare is a member in EDMO’s network of fact-checkers. In the 4P-CAN project Eurocomunicare is mainly involved in the following tasks: cancer informational space analysis: misinformation, fake-news disinformation and the infodemic and measuring opinion and behaviour concerning ECAC recommendations 4P-CAN countries.
Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at Plovdiv University
Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at Plovdiv University is the department carrying out the planned project activities. It is founded in 2021 as university center in relation with the implementation of the project Bringing the “hidden integration of Europe” in studying and teaching EU: an optimistic account (BRIHIEU), funded by Erasums+ program. The Jean Monnet Centres of Excellence gather the expertise and competences of high-level experts and aims at developing synergies between the various disciplines and resources in European studies, as well as at creating joint transnational activities and structural links with academic institutions in other countries. It aims to boost the research and teaching in the field of EU studies at the “Paisii Hilendarski” University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As part of the 4P-CAN project the centre will apply new technologies in the measurement of radon gas and will apply the developed 4P-CAN method at a living lad in Plovdiv region of Bulgaria.
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) is the largest and the most prestigious economic university in Romania. In its 100 years of existence, ASE was the leader of the economic and business higher education and academic research in Romania. In this project, ASE will be involved in WP 3, with the objectives related to: Economic modelling of direct and indirect costs of cancer; Understanding the infodemic that surrounds humanity in the contemporary era; Creating research synergies between the pandemic and cancer prevention; Integrating data for developing digital tools. ASE will lead the works related to T 3.1. Direct costs analysis at the EU and national level, T3.2. Indirect costs analysis at the EU and national level, T3.3. Individual behavior with monetary and non-monetary incentives. Also, ASE will co-lead (together with EUROC) the works related to T3.4. Informational space in times of permacrisis: misinformation, disinformation, and the cancer infodemic.

Association for Help and Support of Patients with Gynecological Diseases FEMINA M Skopje Is a voluntary, non-profit, organization with free citizens gathering to offer support and information to patients and their caregivers within gynecological diseases, to raise awareness about gynecological diseases with special accent to gynecological malignancies, lobby for better access to early diagnoses, novel therapies and treatments as available in the Western European countries and other developed countries and through campaigns and other activities to improve their quality of life of the population in Republic of North Macedonia.
The European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention
The European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) is an international non-profit organisation, created in 1997 under Belgium law (identification number 16377/97). ENSP’s mission is to develop a strategy for coordinated action among organisations active in tobacco control in Europe by sharing information and experience and through coordinated activities and joint projects. ENSP aims to create greater coherence among smoking prevention activities and to promote comprehensive tobacco control policies at both national and European levels. ENSP’s top priority objectives are: * to implement the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO-FCTC) in Europe * to reduce the prevalence of tobacco use in Europe to less than 5% by 2040. Within the 4P-CAN Project, ENSP will coordinate WP2: Multi-level Assessment of Cancer Risk Factors Preventive Legislation. This Work Package will include a multi-level assessment of the policies, legislation, and regulatory framework for cancer primary prevention (CPP) main risk factors – smoking, alcohol, sugar and food, excess body weight and PA, HPV and HBV infections, air pollution – implemented in the countries of 4P-CAN.
Dnipro State Medical University
Dnipro State Medical University (DSMU). It provides medical education at premedical, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It has multiple department in various fields of medical science which makes possible versatile and high-quality research work. The role of DSMU in 4P-CAN project will include assessment local policies in tobacco, alcohol, body-weight and vaccination control and their influence on primary cancer prevention. It is also planned to analyse historical and newly generated data about environmental pollution and its possible influence on cancer epidemiology, especially in the war context. DSMU is located in Dnipro region in the East of Ukraine. Despite the ongoing war and its severe impact on certain areas, Dnipro region remains functioning and even has become a fortified hub for internally displaced people, military supply and healthcare activities. Current position of DSMU provides wide opportunities for successful realisation of the project’s objectives.
The Centre for Innovation in Medicine
The Centre for Innovation in Medicine (Asociatia Centrul pentru Inovatie in Medicina) is a European research and innovation organisation, funded in 2014 in Bucharest, Romania, with the aim of shortening the time between the emergence of innovations and their application for the benefit of citizens. In recent years, one of his main research directions has been understanding how to engage citizens and the whole of society in personalised prevention strategies. INOMED is the coordinator of the 4P-CAN project and the leader of the work package that aims to create Living-labs for cancer prevention.
