On 11 June 2025, 4P-CAN Coordinator Marius Geantă participated in the Cancer Thematic Innovation Ecosystem (TIE), a live webinar led by 4P-CAN partner ECHAlliance.
In a panel moderated by Andy Bleaden, all invited speakers could present and discuss the challenges and possible solutions to enhance cancer prevention in remote areas and how to tackle inequalities in cancer. It was especially interesting hearing from various perspectives: from eastern, western or southern Europe to sub-Saharan Africa. More than collaborations, it is co-creation that can lead significant improvements in cancer prevention and care. The recording of the session is now available to watch.
Launched on 2024, the Cancer TIE aims to embody a shared vision for a future where innovative collaborations lead to significant improvements in cancer prevention and care, especially in the most challenged regions. The inaugural session took place on 30 April 2024, and brought together a consortium of esteemed professionals and organisations, united in their mission to combat cancer through proactive measures. You can watch the recording here.
It is also the occasion to announce the Global Cancer Ecosystem to tackle health inequalities worldwide. The first gathering of the Global Cancer Ecosystem will take place virtually on 7 October at 15:00 CET, bringing together leading voices and best practices from North America, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Ireland, and Africa.
