D5.1 – PNAs methodology

D5.1 explores the relationship between social networks and cancer risk factors (such as smoking, diet, physical activity, and overweight) using Personal Network Analysis (PNA) within the 4P-CAN project. Conducted in a rural Romanian community, the research examines how individuals’ social connections influence their health behaviors, addressing a gap in existing studies that primarily focus on individual risk factors. The findings could inform public health strategies and European Commission efforts to reduce cancer cases by 2040.
